The Manila Manifesto

European Apostolic Leaders (EAL) adheres to the Manila Manifesto of 1989, affirming the Lausanne Covenant of 1974 and 21 key truths that enhance our Christian witness in the modern world.

Like the Lausanne Covenant, this document was prepared by evangelicals attending an international conference sponsored by the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization (LCWE), which was held in Manila, Philippines, and attended by over 3,000 evangelicals.

The Convening Apostle of European Apostolic Leaders, Jan-Aage Torp, was among the delegates and signed the manifesto in 1989.
