Legnica is a town in southwestern Poland, in Silesia, in the central part of Lower Silesia, on the plain of Legnica, riverside: Kaczawa (left tributary of the Oder) and the Czarna Woda. Between 1 June 1975 and 31 December 1998 Legnica was the capital of the Legnica Voivodeship. It is currently the seat of the county. Since 1992 the city has been the seat of the Diocese of Legnica.
Legnica is close to the international airport of Wroclaw, and is near the German border.
The actual gathering will be held at Hotel Qubus, and will include a tour of the Auschwitz conćentration camp.
Information about the gathering will soon be released.
It is a "by invitation only" event. The invitations will be sent by EAL Director Jan-Aage Torp from the EAL office in Oslo.
Wieslaw Ziemba of Legnica will be our Polish host. He has recently become a member of the EAL Executive Committee.
Norbert Palimaki will be administrating everything from his office in Legnica.
