It was a great honor for EAL´s President Jan-Aage Torp and his wife Aina, upon the invitation of Morocco´s Ambassador in Norway, H.E. Ambassador Lamia Radi, to participate in the official celebration at the Ambassador´s residence in Oslo of the XXth Anniversary of the accession of His Majesty the King Mohamed VI to the Throne on Tuesday, July 30th.
Her Excellency led the festive reception in her ambassadorial residence in Oslo in a moving way. She gave a warm speech for King Mohamed VI.
The Torps´ were privileged to meet for the first time the Deputy Ambassador of USA, Richard H. Riley. He is a baptist from the state of Georgia, and an experienced career diplomat. They raised the case of fellow Georgians, Natalya & Zygys and their three kids. Richard Riley listened intently. We believe great things will come out of this!To the left, H.E. Selaelo Ramokgopa, Ambasssor for South Africa. In the middle, Angela from Uganda who has lived in Norway for 15 years as an ambassador for Christ. To the right, H.E. Jennifer Lartey, Ambassador for Ghana
They met the new Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan, H.E. Yerkin Akhinzhanov, as well as the Ambassador of the Philippines, H.E. Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia, a true follower of Christ. They also met H.E. Selaelo Ramokgopa, Ambasssor for South Africa and H.E. Jennifer Lartey, Ambassador for Ghana.
The Torps´ feel privileged to have a relationship of trust with several ambassadors. The Russian Ambassador, H.E. Teymuraz Ramishvili, introduced Jan-Aage to the new Ambassador of France, H.E. Pierre-Mathieu Duhamel.
Another of Jan-Aage´s esteemed connections is H.E. Masahiro Tauchi, the Ambassador of Japan. Although Jan-Aage is thoroughly Norwegian, born of ethnic Norwegian (missionary) parents, he was born in Kyoto, Japan. This was a big reason why the Lord connected him with H.E. Masahiro Tauchi. They have had several good times during the past 18 months. Tauchi has a keen legal mind, having been the Chief Prosecutor of Japan´s Government for several years.
