How does God create?

Despise not the days of small beginnings ! Part 2

The  Genesis record of our world’s creation process shows how God created and organised the universe where he would eventually put man.

How does God create? Not only did he create everything by his word, but everything was created in an orderly manner and with a set pattern.

During creation, he organised man’s environment, gave light, provided water, dry land, sun, moon, stars. He also created all vegetation, sea creatures, winged birds and earthly animals and creeping things.

He created them after their kind with an ability to reproduce themselves, after their kind. He eventually did so for man/woman who represent the pinacle of God’s work.

But for man’s regular provision he gave him fruit after their kind with seed in them, vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, after their kind to feed on.

Everything God created has been made with a seed in it so it could reproduce itself and so that man could benefit from it. Of course the minerals nor the stellar world do not need to be reproduced, but still you could say that their atomic structure is their seed, for from the atom and its structure, anything could be reproduced.

A seed...

It all started with God’s word, speaking things into being and created with a seed in it, after its kind in order to make it reproductible.

A seed is about the smallest living expression of any living organism; it is small and weak although it has the potential to becoming a new fully grown organism. It is almost despicable compared with a full grown organism of the same kind but it is in essence of the same value; the only difference is basically its size or the development phases it did not go through yet. A matter of time.

Still it is God’s way of reproducing his creation. A seed already has all it takes to become what it’s supposed to be, given the right treatment, environment and time.

That’s why we marvel when a new born baby joins the human family; it is already the expression of many productive and protective miracles that have lead him/her to be alive; and the rest of this baby’s life will be the demonstration of the power of God manifested through a human seed. This baby could become anything, great or small according to God’s plan for him/her, if only we would not despise the days of it’s small beginnings.

So it is with anything God starts to do, to birth, to implement, to initiate. It is basically all there in form seed and is just waiting for the proper treatment, environment and time to happen in order to grow into God’s intended purpose. It’s not an „at random“ growing process, but the God of the Universe oversees the growing process of whatever he is bringing about.

Remembering this will help us go through the growing and transition processes of anything God is birthing in our individual lives and in the broader Church, with much more clarity and assurance being strengthened by these powerful promises:

1 Peter 5:10-11 After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen.

1 Thess. 5:23-24 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.

Our Father God is the one backing up his work, his word, his Church and the new moves he brings about including the new apostotolic reformation which will touch the whole Church and the world for that matter.

Will he not watch over what he brings about and sustain it until it is fully birthed and grown ?

Isaiah 43:18-21 Thus says the Lord, “Do not call to mind the former things,
Or ponder things of the past. “Behold, I will do something new,
 Now it will spring forth;
Will you not be aware of it?
I will even make a roadway in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert. “The beasts of the field will glorify Me,
The jackals and the ostriches,
Because I have given waters in the wilderness
 And rivers in the desert,
To give drink to My chosen people. “The people whom I formed for Myself
 Will declare My praise.

Only we have to be careful not to despise the day of small beginnings.

Zechariah 4:10  For who has despised the day of small things? But these seven will be glad when they see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel—these are the eyes of the Lord which range to and fro throughout the earth.”
