55 nations - 740 million inhabitants
April 11, 2015

There are many ways to define Europe: Geography, history, culture, economics. politics, religion etc. Europe encompasses somewhere between 48 and 55 nations. The population within the standard physical geographical boundaries was 740 million in 2010 according to the United Nations.

Jesus said: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:18-20). He actually said "of all peoples". With the rich history and cultural variations of Europe, we must serve our 55 nations in a way which respects and encourages the various national identities.
