Moments in History 103

Recognizing seasons, times, phases, trends of history and how they impact us for the long term

Moments in History 103We know that spiritual curses, family and generational curses if not brought to the cross of Christ and broken in His name are bound to not only repeat their effects in one's life, but to be passed on to future generations as well.

1 Chronicles 12:32 "Of the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their kinsmen were at their command".

God wrote this principle attached to the 1st commandment.

Exodus 20:1- 6 "Then God spoke all these words, saying, “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments".

This is where the Church should come in with  her God-given manifold (multiple, numerous, diverse) calling and ministry of expressing the divine nature in the world, while still waiting for the final redemption.

In order for the wider Church to express the divine nature in the world, it too and first of all must be restored to its full capacity, recognizing the great diversity of gifts, callings and  ministries God gives her to serve the world.

Let's not forget that the spiritual rulers of the world and the world as a consequence, should be able to discern, discover the manifold wisdom of God by looking at the Church. Quite a task and a responsibility!

Ephesians 3:10 "so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places".

Where are we then today, in history, related to this precise divine plan of demonstration by the Church of the varied and excellent grace of God to a dying world? How advanced are we? What is already in place or is still lacking for this portraying of Christ to the world?

Galatians 3 1-5 "You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified? This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? Did you [f]suffer so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain? So then, does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?"

This is where the new and fresh restoration of the apostolic and prophetic ministries has to come in to help break old vicious circles of past sins, misconceptions, errors, patterns, useless and futile habits.

The apostolic anointing will serve by challenging unrighteous teachings, doctrines and systems and tend to establish God's order in the Church and society whenever possible.

This is indeed a revolution, a turning around from old, tolerant, compromising and  inefficient ways.

This does require a breakthrough anointing in order to break old patterns and gain new ground.

This will be done through prayer, spiritual warfare (in and outside the Church), intercession, prophetic acts and proclamations in order to open a new page in the history of the people we find ourselves contending for.

Matthew 11:12 "From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and violent men take it by force".
